LAUTECH Alumni Association Oyo State Chapter Hosts 3rd Quarter Global Assembly

The Oyo State Chapter of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Alumni Association proudly hosted the 3rd Quarter Global Assembly from August 15–17, 2025, at the prestigious Palms Hotel, Agodi GRA, Ibadan.
The event commenced on Saturday, August 16, at 8:00 AM with a comprehensive medical check-up, followed by an enlightening health talk delivered by Dr Olasunkanmi Adesina (MBBS (Lauth.), MPH (Lond.)), MD/CEO, Academy Hospital, Iwo Road and Mokola Hilltop Hospital, Mokola, Ibadan, Oyo State., a distinguished member of the Oyo State Chapter. At 1:00 PM, the Global President, Engr. Lekan Badmus, officially called the assembly to order, setting the stage for meaningful deliberations and strategic engagement.
The gathering brought together prominent alumni from diverse professional backgrounds, fostering reconnection, collaboration, and shared purpose. Key discussions focused on operationalizing the Alumni Village and strategizing sustainable development initiatives for both the alumni community and LAUTECH as an institution.
A major highlight of the assembly was the announcement of a generous ₦10,000,000 donation by Dr. Jide Babs to support the LAUTECH Alumni Scholarship Fund — a significant step toward empowering future generations of students and promoting academic excellence.
The event underscored the unwavering commitment of LAUTECH alumni to driving impactful initiatives that strengthen their alma mater and contribute meaningfully to societal progress.
